Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical organization. Its mission is to follow God’s lead and partner with the community to provide decent, affordable homes for people in need so they may build better lives for their families.
Selected families must be US citizens, have good employment records, and are required to perform 250 hours of "sweat equity" building homes before closing on their own home.
2011 - 2012 SEASON
This year, Habitat will be purchasing foreclosed property throughout Lee County at greatly reduced prices and purchasing buildable lots in Bonita Springs to build in the following years. This year, the Pelican Landing volunteers will build the ninth home since 2002. Last season, the volunteers worked on rehab homes only, and are looking forward to "raising" a new home this November.
We need to raise $50,000 from our Pelican Landing residents. These funds will be used to furnish building materials for the new home. We are again asking for your generous tax deductible donations. Since 2002, the Pelican Landing residents have raised over $450,000.
For more information on Habitat for Humanity, contact Ted Smith, Resident Coordinator, at dsmith6200@aol.com.

Please be sure to donate the the Pelican Landing Project
so that your donation is credited to our community's home.
If you would like to donate, but not online, there are other ways:
* Respond to the mailing this October
* Pick up a brochure and envelope in the lobby of the PLCA Community Center
* Call Habitat at (239) 652-1683 and Sherrie Mangan will take your contribution with a credit card
