Nuisance Alligator Reporting
Pelican Landing has been able to simplify the alligator removal process by obtaining an THA (Target Harvesting Area) permit, from the Florida Fish & Game. You now call the Privacy Office directly at (239) 947-8563 instead of calling the alligator hotline. Once Privacy receives the information, they will contact the trapper directly for removal.

Pelican Landing is a gated community with gatehouses located at each entrance designed to control and monitor access to the community. This amenity includes Privacy associates provided by Securitas, who staff these gatehouses 24 hours a day - 7 days a week, in addition, also provides two roving patrols. The Privacy staff provides information and aid to residents and their guests, as well as report any unlawful activity to the proper authorities. The Privacy associates are not police officers and do not have arrest powers, nor do they carry firearms. The Privacy Patrol is authorized to uphold the Association's regulations. Those committing traffic violations will be fined.

For convenient access into the community, Pelican Landing residents are issued vehicle bar code decals for opening gates. When passing through a gatehouse entrance, residents must use caution allowing only one vehicle at a time to pass through. If traveling too closely to another vehicle, the gate arm may automatically drop and cause vehicle damage.

Residents are asked to use the gate access authorization system in advance, day or night, when expecting guests. The gatehouse staff will make every effort to ensure that guests are allowed quick and courteous entry. If authorization has not been cleared for a visitor, the staff will attempt to contact the resident for authorization prior to admittance. If authorization is not received, the guest will not be admitted into the community.

Residents who have recurring guests or service company visits must include the names of all such individuals and parties on their Resident Access Form on file in the Administration Office. Each person or company listed as an authorized guest must still stop at the gatehouse and will then be allowed access into the community.

All vehicles entering Pelican Landing without an official community pass will be stopped at the gatehouse and processed according to community access control procedures.

Registered vehicle bar code decals are issued to residents who have a personal vehicle. Temporary passes are available for residents with rental cars and for friends or family members who do not reside on property. These passes require homeowner approval and may be renewed every 90 days.
