The naturally beautiful Pelican Landing
community encompasses 2,365 acres in Bonita Springs, Florida. It is
bordered on the south by Spring Creek, which the State of Florida
designated an "Outstanding Florida Water," and on the west by Estero Bay,
an aquatic preserve leading to the Gulf of Mexico.
Careful planning and development of Pelican
Landing has preserved the pristine natural beauty of this community.
Winding roadways throughout the community are shadowed by majestic live
oaks, pine trees, and other native trees and vegetation. Intimate
neighborhoods are filled with wild palmettos, slash pines, and Florida's
state tree, the sabal palm. Homeowners are encouraged to use
existing vegetation in their landscape plans and to supplement with native
plants as much as possible. By working with nature, our homeowners
enjoy a community that blends with its natural setting.
Pelican Landing had its start in 1985
with the creation of the 18-hole Pelican's Nest Golf Club. The
course, set on 369 acres, was specifically designed by golf course
architect Tom Fazio to serve the nearby Ritz Carlton and Registry hotel
guests from sister community Pelican Bay. As Pelican's Nest grew in
popularity, the developer- WCI, began purchasing the surrounding property.
In 1989, the community of Pelican Landing emerged as a premier residential
community in this area.
The
first residents of the community moved into Pelican Landing in February
1990. Since then, Pelican Landing has grown to include single
family homes, villas, coach
homes, garden condominiums, mid-rise condominiums, and bay-front high-rise
condominiums.

The Pelican Landing Community
Association, Inc. (PLCA) is the master association for the community.
The Association is dedicated to maintaining the natural beauty and
integrity of Pelican Landing, controlling access to the community, and
managing recreational amenities.
