subcommittees operate within Pelican Landing. Comprised of appointed
members and resident volunteers, these committees participate in policy
development, research, and general organizational matters, as they pertain
to the stated committee purpose (ie. Tennis Committee, Privacy Committee,
etc.). Each subcommittee reports directly to the UOC.
Residents are invited and encouraged to participate in a UOC subcommittee. |

Beach
The aim of the Beach Committee is to promote a safe and enjoyable beach experience
for all beachgoers while ensuring that the natural condition of the barrier
island is preserved. Many Beach Committee members volunteer for work
at the
Beach Park, such as roping
off the bird
nesting areas, repair of umbrellas, and monitoring the beach
during the turtle season. The Beach Committee assists the Beach Park staff in
developing the beach budget.
